I have always considered myself to be very current about the state of bands in the metal realm, however got to say that I'm ashamed that I have never heard about these guys. It seems that they have been in the business for the past 13 years.
So like I asked before if you are into choppers, chicks, loud noise and of course beer, you are in for a treat with this one.
V8 WANKERS are the Metal N' Roll type band, genre very simple to explain but hard to grasp. You will not find any important messages in the lyrics about the government or about the world pollution, see if I care. The music is plain and simple no BS, catchy sleazy Metal N’ Roll, fast riffing, loud drums, beer drinking and cigarette smoking Vocals.
All songs are good, sleazy, catchy, great riffing and amazing tempos, don’t forget the iconic "Got Beer?", the title song, about the October Fest where you drink lots of beer and "Yeah She's a Bitch".
The question that you have to ask yourself in order to understand the V8 WANKERS album is what if you happen to be into Rock N' Roll, dirty jokes, witty lyrics and noisy guitar riffs? That's where the V8 WANKERS come into place.
The album starts with a really nice, Chuck Berry oriented sleaze Rock 'n' Roll song "Got Beer?", though punk influenced.
Then "Bust in the Wind" comes in, brilliant song and aforementioned acts would have killed to write it.
With "Long Spoon", I started to understand that I had to relax and enjoy 'cause V8 WANKERS were making fun of me.
"Got Beer?" album is delivered a pure breed of Rock 'n' Roll blended with snotty Punk. Dirty jokes, witty lyrics and noisy guitar riffs. Music, cars, women and beer the main topics of the lyrics, if you expected anything else you are off topic.
"She's Nitro" is, according to some homework I've done, dedicated to porn actress Lena Nitro.
"Drowned in Tears": female backing vocals, great guitar riffing, a lil' bit of melancholia and a refrain that nails ya down.

"Got Beer?" steps on the throttle, blends genres and makes hell break loose. It has a little bit of everything for everyone's taste buds, I'm still not certain on what genre to classify these guys as but from what I have heard on this album I would consider it to be a Sleaze Punk Metal 'n' Roll band, if that indeed could exist, all in all I really enjoyed this one.
